August 30th Weekly Highlights

HELPING PEOPLE FIND THEIR WAY BACK TO GOD

Will you start praying praying about who you need to invite with you to Homeport for our upcoming series “Finding Your Way Back To God” starting September 6th? We are a church that is passionate about helping people find God and together we can change the lives of many of our friends, family and neighbors through a simple invite to join you that Sunday morning.

MISSIONS LAPTOP COLLECTION

We still need 21 working PC laptops at least 256 MB of RAM to send to Nigeria. They are going to be used to provide computer education from a Christian perspective. Please begin praying about supporting this missions opportunity and start looking through your closets and bring in your old laptops starting next weekend.

SOMEBODY CARES ST AUGUSTINE

Mark your calendars for a day of caring for our community September 26th 2015! If you are new to Homeport, Somebody Cares St. Augustine is a group we partner with to provide a demonstration of God’s love through unity in action in our community.  To let people know that Somebody Cares because Jesus cares, we God’s people care, and through our combined resources proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to our community.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY CANDIDATE

Sunday, September 13th Emma Fisher will be here with us to talk about our Children’s Ministry position. Emma is a student at Johnson University Florida and we will have a bio about her to share with you next weekend.

BY-LAWS VOTE

We are calling a congregational vote for our members on October 4th after each gathering. We will present printed copies of the rewritten by-laws next Sunday, September 6th.

MEN’S RETREAT

Guys mark your calendars now for October 23-24 for an overnight men’s retreat in Keystone Heights. The cost is $50 to cover room and board. This will be a great time for the men of Homeport to gather together and grow closer to God and develop deep relationships with each other.
